At the Liberty: "Kung Fu Panda 4"

DAYTON — In “Kung Fu Panda 4” comedy icon Jack Black returns to his role as Po, the world’s most unlikely kung fu master. The movie is the hilarious, butt-kicking new chapter in DreamWorks Animation’s beloved action-comedy franchise. After three death-defying adventures defeating world-class villains with his unmatched courage and mad martial arts skills, Po the Dragon Warrior, is called upon by destiny to … give it a rest already. More specifically, he’s tapped to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace.

Rotten Tomatoes critics rated this movie as 72% favorable, while the audience gave it an 86%. That website’s critics say “Kung Fu Panda 4” offers enough eye-catching entertainment to sustain the franchise’s young fans, although it’s starting to feel like this series is running out of steam. The audience summary is that the movie is fun for the whole family, but not as good as the first three versions. The movie is rated PG for martial arts action/mild violence, scary images and some mild rude humor. It has a runtime of 94 minutes. This movie will run for 2 weeks, starting on March 29.
