WAITSBURG - Waitsburg Middle School boys have competed well in their first three games of the season despite not having any eighth graders on the team. The young Cardinal team is working hard, developing skills and experience that will benefit it in the future.

The team traveled to Walla Walla to play Liberty Christian on November 14, losing 33-29 in a close game. The Cardinals rallied from a 12-point deficit in the last two minutes to make an exciting finish in their first game of the season.

On November 16, both the "B" and "A" teams lost at Liberty Christian in Richland.

On Monday, November 20, the Cardinals played on Kison Court against Touchet. The "A" and "B" teams played competitively but lost their matches. Cardinal Damen Karl led the "B" team with seven points in the 18-17 loss. The boys had a big second quarter, scoring 10 points.
