At the Liberty:"The Sound of Freedom"

DAYTON—The movie “Sound of Freedom” is based on the true story of a former Homeland Security agent turned vigilante who embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue hundreds of children from sex traffickers. RATED: PG-13 for thematic content involving sex trafficking, violence, language, sexual references, some drug references and smoking throughout. Runtime is 135 minutes.

Rotten Tomatoes gave this movie 74%, saying “Sound of Freedom is an effective and suspenseful call to action against human trafficking, yet not free of issues in its depiction of the sensitive subject matter.” It’s audience score is 100%, saying “Sound of Freedom is a powerful film with strong performances and an important message.”

IMDb rates it 8.1/10. Their Parents Guide rates its concerns as “mild” except “moderate” for Frightening & Intense Scenes.

The Missoula Children’s Theater returns to Dayton to provide theater training for 6 days for children ages 6 and older. At the end of the workshop the children will put on two performances of the play “The Secret Garden”. Free registration is open Tuesday August 1 and Friday August 4, 2-5 pm at the lobby, or on the theater website. Rehearsals will be Aug 7-11. Performances will be 7 pm Friday Aug 11 and Sat Aug 12, with tickets for sale online or at the door.
