Barney Ray Culbertson was born in Dayton, Washington to Irene and Joe Culbertson on March 25, 1952. Barney passed away peacefully and well taken care of at St. Mary's Hospital in Walla Walla, Washington on May 19, 2023 at the age of 71, unfortunately, due to cancer. Barney went to school in Dayton, Washington then moved to Sequim, Washington and graduated from Sequim High School in 1970. Barney worked at various places such as: Jolly Green Giant Cannery in Dayton WA, on a fishing boat in Alaska, worked on wheat fields for different people over the years, then worked in logging as a choker setter, and also did concrete work. Barney enjoyed being outdoors; He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going out picking mushrooms. Barney was preceded in death by his parents Irene and Joe, a brother Joe, also a sister Theola. Barney in survived by his brother Robert and sister-in-law Leah, his sister Susan and many other relatives.

Barney's last words were, "I don't want to say goodbye to anyone else I will just say hello the next time I see everyone."
