WAITSBURG-On Monday, November 7, 2022, the Weller Public Library celebrated the inaugural use of the new ADA lift installed this year. The lift is in the rear of the building, offering access to all residents and bringing the historic building up to necessary ADA compliance.

Initially, the Library Board of Directors and The Friends of the Library planned to have library supporter Dr. Hevel be the first to ride the new lift. Unfortunately, he could not attend because of health issues, so long time Waitsburg supporters Anita Baker and Jack McCaw stepped in. Representatives from the library made sure to visit with Dr. Hevel to share the news of the completed project.

At the event were members of the Library Board of Trustees, the Friends of the Library, and the Waitsburg City Council.
