WAITSBURG—Laht Neppur Brewing participated and won honors at the ninth annual Washington Beer Awards recognizing the best of Washington’s craft beer. This year, 179 Washington breweries submitted 1,400 entries to the 2022 competition. The judging is done in a blind tasting format using the Brewers Association Style Guidelines by panels of trained judges.

Waitsburg’s brewery, Laht Neppur Brewing won two medals, a silver medal for their Backseat Blonde Ale and another silver for the brewery’s Peach Hefeweizen. As an unexpected bonus, the favorite local business also won the event’s top honor for Very Small Brewery of the Year.
