The Kicksled Choir is about a boy who wants to sing in the local choir but when his father gets into a fight with a refugee, his aspirations are in jeopardy.

The 2021 global Manhattan Short Film Festival is coming to the Liberty Theater on Sept 24-26 and the 28th. This is the 24th year of this international annual film festival.

The Liberty Theater in Dayton is one of 400 locations across the planet, showing this film festival for 11 days in late September. Dayton is the only location in eastern Washington to show this film festival more than one day (once in Spokane), and there are no showings in eastern Oregon. The selected ten finalist films vary from 9-19 minutes long and represent eight countries. Films cover a range of topics, including one animated film about a girl and a horse, two stories about WWII, one about a boy that wants to sing in a choir, but his family runs into troubles, and others. A description of each film is available on the 2021 Manhattan Short website.

Don't miss this opportunity to view the ten best short films each night at the Liberty Theater selected from 960 films submitted from 70 countries and help a worldwide audience determine the best film and actor.

Special 3:00 pm Saturday matinee showtime added! See the Liberty Theater website for all showtimes, more information, and to reserve your seats, because seating is limited due to COVID distancing precautions. The Liberty Theater is maintaining distancing and mask requirements. Please help us provide a relatively safe environment for all by complying with the mask and distancing requirements. We appreciate your assistance and support.
