Dayton

Jan. 17

Reportable non-injury accident on US-12. Brendon Donovan, 21, Waitsburg, lost control on icy roads. Johan Fila, 49, Dayton, was booked and released on charges of 4th degree assault reported in the 300 block of E. Richmond. Report of prowler in 500 block of S. 1st. Described as 5’10”, thin, wearing a black hoodie. Report of vehicle theft in 1000 block of S. 4th; unfounded, vehicle was repossessed.

Jan. 18

Reportable non-injury accident. Henry Hurley, 19, Pullman, lost control of vehicle on icy roadways on N. Touchet Rd. Reportable non-injury accident on N. Touchet Road. Ovie Smith, 38, Richland, lost control of vehicle on icy roadway. Unwanted subject at 300 block E. Richmond. Unwanted subject at 500 block W. Cameron. Reckless driving reported on Main Rd. in Huntsville.

Jan. 19

Assisted Dept. of Corrections in apprehending John Waltermire, 25, Dayton, on DOC charges. Waltermire was taken into custody without incident. New charges of possession/possession with the intent to deliver, methamphetamine were submitted to the prosecutor. Report of shoplifting in 100 block of E. Main. Suspect dropped knife when challenged; under investigation. Assisted DOC in apprehending Dante Brown, 20, Dayton, on DOC charges. Brown was taken into custody without incident and booked into county jail. New charges of controlled substance and possession of a legend drug were submitted to prosecutor. Report of individual making threats in 400 block of E. Washington is under investigation. Deloris Elder, 51, Dayton, struck a deer crossing the roadway. Report of individual making threats on N. Touchet Rd. is under investigation.

Jan. 20

CCSO and Walla Walla Police Dept. executed a second search warrant at 305 E. Dayton Ave. #B. Officers developed probably cause through items recovered in teh first search warrant executed earlier this month at the same address. Property recovered was linked to several Walla Walla burglaries/thefts. Stihl chainsaw reported stolen in the last 3-4 weeks in 200 block of W. Patit. Saw was returned early the next morning, on the caller’s porch. Timothy Testerman, 42, Walla Walla, was arrested on a Walla Walla warrant. Testerman was cited for possession of a dangerous weapon at the time of his arrest. Small child’s bicycle was found in 300 block of E. Clay. Theft of a Stihl chainsaw was reported on Fountain Springs Road. Caller advised they knew who did it and father of suspect brought it back. Under investigation. Report of a person in black looking into vehicles on 900 block of S. 3rd. Elderly gentleman was out for a walk, unfounded. Beer bottle thrown through window on 300 block of W. Main.

Jan. 21

Report of assault with a hammer in 400 block of W. Main. No actual contact made, report forwarded to prosecutor. Report of two individuals loading property into an older gray Chevy. Suspects gone upon deputy arrival. Threats made over Facebook, contact made with both parties. Scooter found in 600 block of E. Dayton Ave. Report of car prowl, most likely from the night the other 19 were done. Nothing appears to be missing, just rummaged through. Report of an erratically driven older silver pickup that nearly struck a pedestrian in 500 block of E. Main. Unwanted subject reported in 100 block of N. Cherry. Erratically driven white and red Dodge pickup reported on US-12. Assault reported in 100 block of S. 6th. Subjects gone upon deputy arrival. Report forwarded to prosecutor.

Jan. 22

Report of erratically driven vehicle on US-12; medical issue. Reported car prowl in 400 block, E. Mustard. Most likely from the night the other 19 were done. Small change appears to be the only thing missing. Unwanted Subject reported in 100 block, N. Cherry; Civil Issue. Phone fraud reported – Publishing Clearinghouse ploy. Unwanted subject in 200 block of S. 2nd, gone upon deputy arrival. Car prowl reported in 1200 block of S. 2nd, most likely from night others were done; key taken. Car prowl in 200 block of E. Clay, nothing missing.

Jan. 23

Report of loud motorcycle early in the morning in 1400 block of S. 5th. Report of loud trucks early in the morning in 1500 block of S. 5th. Report of several individuals in dark clothing trying to hide in bushes after having fled from the Blue Mountain Hotel area. Unable to locate. Johan Filla, 49, Dayton, was arrested and booked into Columbia County Jail on charges of 4th degree assault, domestic violence.
