Tyler Judd Changes Plea to Guilty in Plea Agreement

WAITSBURG – Waitsburg resident Tyler P. Judd, 32, plead guilty to rape of a child in the third degree and distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) to a person under the age of 18 in a plea agreement in Walla Walla Superior Court on January 11.

Judd, a registered sex offender, was arrested in Walla Walla on Nov. 17 and, according to police documents, admitted to having sex with a 15-year-old girl and supplying her with methamphetamine, beginning in August of last year. The Walla Walla teen allegedly corroborated Judd’s story in a police interview.

In a separate incident, Judd was accused of selling methamphetamine to a confidential informant in July of last year.

At his Nov. 30 arraignment, Judd plead not guilty to rape of a child in the third degree, communication with a minor for immoral purposes, distribution of a controlled substance to a person under the age of 18, and delivery of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school bus route.

In the Jan. 11 plea agreement, Judd plead guilty to the first and third charges and prosecution agreed to drop the second and fourth charges. Judd is in custody in the Walla Walla County Jail until his sentencing.
