CYF to hold strategic planning day

 


DAYTON—In lieu of their regular monthly meeting in January, the Coalition for Youth and Families is having a day-long strategic planning session on Jan. 21 at the Best Western Plus Hotel Conference Room here from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The purpose of the session is to develop strategies for partnering with other community groups, to increase community awareness about CYF goals, to expand youth coalition membership, to provide education in prevention science, to provide leadership training, to monitor partnering agencies’ policies about the consequences of providing alcohol and marijuana to underage users by adults, to educate alcohol sales outlets, to increase community awareness about the harmful effects of alcohol, marijuana, e-cigarettes or vapes, prescription medications and other over-the-counter medications, and strategies for assessing progress made by the CYF.
