Dec. 16

Ongoing civil dispute between neighbors on W. 2nd Street.

Dec. 22

Unknown vehicle drove through yard of Preston Avenue resident, leaving ruts.

Dayton

Dec. 20

Report of stolen “Minion” Christmas decoration. Decoration later returned.Report of an individual violating a protection order in Waitsburg. Caller was advised to call Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Office. Report of burglary on 500 block of Cameron Ct., Prestige 10 tablet is missing. Kitchen fire reported on 600 block of Country Village, under investigation. Report of two cell phones stolen in Huntsville area. Unfounded, phones were returned. Blue or grey Dodge Challenger driving in a reckless manner in 200 block of E. Main, unable to locate. Report of yelling and shouting in 500 block of E. Main. Parties had separated prior to Deputy’s arrival.

Dec. 21

Possible fraudulent call with caller reported to be a fire protection from Coeur d’Alene wanting household information. Caller did not ask for credit card or money. Welfare child check on children returned to mother after father was arrested by WWSO on outstanding felony warrants. Several cars prowled in alley on 300 block of E. Main. CD’s, phone charger, and flex capacitors taken. Unwanted person in 100 block of N. 3rd. Individual was gone upon deputy’s arrival and will be served with no-trespass papers.

Dec. 22

Non-injury collision in 100 block of N. 1st. Semi-truck and trailer was partially blocking US-12. Kyle’s Towing was contacted to remove vehicle. Child protective services requested assistance with one of their cases.

Dec. 23

Non-reportable collision on N. Touchet Rd. Vehicle towed back onto roadway and situation under investigation for a report of reckless driving. Report of a large pile of leaves in roadway on S. 2nd and E. Park. Received a report of a stolen “PEPSI” Ford Ranger pickup from Walmart in Walla Walla. A similar vehicle was reported to be stuck in the sports parking lot behind the Dayton hospital. Jeffrey Brooks, 22, Dayton, was arrested and booked into Columbia County Jail on charges of possession of stolen property. Reportable, non-injury collision on W. Bramhall Rd.

Dec. 24

Harassment: report of a false Facebook page and miscellaneous unwanted items in the mail. Suspicious circumstance on N. Touchet Rd. Car pulled into residence driveway then took off towards town very fast. William Tewalt, 44, Dayton, was arrested on a DOC felony warrant and booked into Columbia County Jail after being warned for speeding and cited for driving while suspended and no insurance. Report of a lost bag of presents, believed to be left in the area of the Depot.

Dec. 25

Report of illegal shooting from the highway, near a residence. Forwarded to prosecutor. Domestic violence on 500 block of W. Cameron; verbal only, parties separated.

Dec. 26

Report of flashing light on Cold Spring Ln. Deputy was unable to locate. Report of threats made against ski patrol by two makes skiing in a closed area at Ski Bluewood. Deputy was unable to locate vehicle after it left.
