Nov. 15

Report of loud voices and pounding sound of metal; deputies unable to locate. Report of a vehicle found parked in the complainant’s yard in 600 block of E. Mustard; owner advised the car broke down and they would make arrangements to move it in the morning. Domestic violence, pushing and yelling, in 400 block of E. Oak. Parties were separated, report forwarded to the prosecutor.

Nov. 16

Report of loud music in early morning in 700 block of S 5th; deputy located the vehicle upon arrival, however vehicle was off and no music or person around. Complaint of aggressive dogs in 600 block of Country Village; deputy warned owner to keep dogs restrained. Complaint of aggressive dogs that attacked him and his leashed dog; animal control cited owner. Michael Diaz, age 46, of Walla Walla, was booked into Columbia County Jail for failing to appear. Report of a raccoon in a tree in 700 block of S 3rd.

Nov. 17

Dump of garbage at MP369, Hwy 12; under investigation. Report of power line down in 700 block of S 6th; identified as a TV line and appropriate owner advised. Cite for no valid operator’s license and expired vehicle license at MP366, Hwy 12. Tree down in 800 block of S 4th; Public Works advised.

Nov. 18

Unattended death in 100 block of E. Commercial; under investigation. Red/Tan cow in roadway on Chandler Rd. Owner was contacted, advised they would care for it. Third party report of threats in Cameron Court. Mutual threats were made. Parties kept separate and a report taken. Report of a duck walking around on 2nd and Main. The duck does not appear to be hurt, but is following people. Rehabilitationist contacted; duck flew away upon their arrival. Complaint of a large fire in Country Village; warning given and responsible party advised they would put fire out.

Nov. 19

Phone fraud; gave banking information to a caller claiming to be from Dish Network. Report of a possible burglary in 900 block of S 4th. Deputy and responsible checked the building; unfounded. Juvenile missing medication in their capsule in 700 block of S 3rd; under investigation.

Nov. 20

Crisforo Garcia, age 32 of Dayton, was southbound on 4th Street when he lost control of his vehicle striking an unoccupied parked car owned by Andrea Hilton, age 36, of Dayton. There were no injuries; however both vehicles were considered totaled. Mr. Garcia was cited for speeding too fast for conditions. Report of theft in 200 block of E Main; subject paid for services with an “invalid” credit card number. Report of animal/theft in 200 block of E Main; 3 animals dead or missing lately. Head of goat with large horns stolen. Report of loud music in 300 block of E Dayton Ave; Deputy was unable to locate. Unwanted subject in Country Village. Family member in the yard screaming at her; subject left prior to deputy’s arrival. Nona Boyl, age 82, of Dayton, driving a 2000 Toyota Corolla, turned westbound onto Commercial St from 3rd St. Mrs. Boyl advised that she could not see due to the sun in her eyes, and struck an unoccupied 2013 Chevrolet pickup legally parked along the westbound curb of Commercial St. The pickup was owned by Melanie Mings, also of Dayton.

Nov. 21

Report of a window broken out of a residence at MP315, Hwy 12; nothing was stolen. Neighborhood dispute in Country Court; parties separated upon deputy’s arrival. Domestic violence in 700 block of S 5th. Verbal dispute in the parking lot. Unfounded; parties advised they had just been discussing a movie.
