WAITSBURG – Waitsburg’s Samuel W. Southard American Legion Post #35 will host several events in the coming weeks.

The District meeting, with installation of officers will take place at the Waitsburg Town Hall on Oct. 24. Social hour begins at 11 a.m., followed by lunch at noon. Lunch includes chicken, potato salad, and dessert. The business meeting will follow. Members are encouraged to attend and bring their families. Please call Cindy Standring at 520-9351 to RSVP.

The next regular meeting will take place Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. at Whiskey Creek Sports Bar and Grill.

On Nov. 11, volunteers are needed to help place the flags on Main Street in honor of Veterans Day. Volunteers should meet at the fire house at 8 a.m. and again at 4 p.m. to bring the flags in.
