WAITSBURG – Hordes of high school musicians will descend on Waitsburg High School on Wed., Oct. 21 to play in sing in a MASS band and choir concert.

“Schools from Touchet to Asotin to Garfield and Palouse – a dozen schools in all – will send their talent to join in a MASSive rehearsal and concert. This year’s conductors are Kevin Swisher of Richland High School Bands and Dr. Kraig Scott of Walla Walla University Choirs.

“The MASS choir will perform “Flip, Flop, and Fly,” the sacred “Kyrie Eleison,” and a medley from “Phantom of the Opera.” The MASS Band (200 strong!) will play “Encanto” by Robert W. Smith, the gorgeous “Red Covered Bridge” by Robert Sheldon, and the theme from the Avengers!” said Green.

Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for students, and the whole family can attend for $10. The choir begins at 6:30.p.m.
