*The board was presented with expected costs of facilities priorities as determined by architects in preparation for upcoming capital projects bond request. The board felt that the estimate of $5.1 million (as opposed to the $4.8 million that would keep taxes the same) was too high and requested additional info and clarification of costs.

*In response to feedback from the community, the board discussed changing the time of High School graduation from 8 p.m. to an earlier time. They ultimately chose to stay with the 8 p.m. ceremony.

*Considered doing away with 8th grade promotion, as many schools have, but decided to retain the tradition.

*Adopted secondary math instruction materials.

*Approved secondary principal’s and superintendent’s contracts.

*Approved Athletic Combine Agreement for 2015-16.

*Approved athletic budgets for 2015-16.

*Declared equipment, supplies and textbooks stored in the annex (421 Coppei Ave.) as surplus. Items will be sold to public and private schools with general public bids for all remaining items (sold as a lot) beign taken from July 21 – 29. Call 337-6301 to make an appointment to see items.
