Mar. 29

Suspicious people with flashlights in the area of construction on Tucannon Street in Starbuck; deputies were unable to locate. Theft of box from front porch on E. Jackson Street by woman in a blue outfit driving an older white sedan; deputies were unable to locate the woman described.

Mar. 30

Theft of air compressor and battery taken from front porch on S. 3rd Street sometime in the last few days. Vehicle prowl reported on N. 4th Street; nothing appears to be missing but the glove box was opened and the vehicle battery was dead. Dayton female Tasha Rae, 25, was cited on E. Clay Street on suspicion of driving on a suspended license, failure to transfer vehicle title, no proof of insurance, unrestrained child in the vehicle, and defective equipment. Dayton male Eric Gatlin, 26, was cited on W. Commercial Street on suspicion of driving with a suspended license and no proof of insurance. Possible violation of no-contact order reported on E. Richmond Avenue.


Mar. 31

Suspicious vehicles reported on Davis Hollow Road; two people in a white car pulled onto private property at around 4 a.m. and left the area in hurry after being contacted by the property owner. Fraudulent call reported on N. Touchet Road; caller stated a warrant would be issued for the person on the phone if a call was not returned. Trespassing reported on N. Touchet Road; subject was cited for trespassing on the property several weeks ago was reportedly back on the property. Prescription fraud reported at Elk Drug; 23-year-old Spokane resident Joshua Berdar was arrested (see court news in this issue for further information). Fraudulent calls from IRS reported on Mead Road. Dayton female Deserie Wanlarbkam, 39, was cited on W. Main Street on suspicion of driving without a license and no insurance.


Apr. 1

Three Pasco subjects were arrested after a high-speed car chase from Dayton into Dixie (see article in this issue for further details). Harassing text messages and phone calls from former relationship partner reported on Main Road in Huntsville. Verbal domestic altercation reported on E. Washington Avenue; deputies responded and separated the parties. Fraud reported on E. Tremont Street; someone allegedly using the caller’s social security number. College Place female Crystal Gonzalez, 20, was arrested on Lower Hogeye Road by deputies on suspicion of driving without a license and having both a Dept. of Corrections warrant and a Walla Walla warrant for failure to appear; Gonzalez was transported to Walla Walla County.

Apr. 2

Threats from tenants at rental property reported on N. 1st Street. Non-injury collision reported on N. 3rd Street; driver backed into a telephone pole. Possible theft from property reported on Stockton Road. Threatening accusations by boyfriend reported on W. Cameron Street.

Apr. 3

Erratic vehicle reported on Highway 12 eastbound from Waitsburg; deputies contacted the vehicle and driver on Lower Hogeye Road. The 37-year-old Dayton driver Marcos Acevedo was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Apr. 4

Suspicious circumstances reported on Lower Hogeye Road; caller reported seeing several liter-sized pop bottles in the area with a small amount of liquid inside and felt it might be drug related. Gun shots reportedly heard from E. Dayton Avenue in area of Weinhard Hill; deputies were unable to locate anyone shooting or hunting in the area. Toppenish male Gus Ledbetter, 31, was cited on suspicion of driving with a suspended license and equipment violation. Noise complaint at Tucannon Campground; deputies contacted the campers and quieted everyone down.
