The Times

Letter of Thanks In Time of Loss

Dear Editor,

The family of Karen Huwe Mohney wish to express our appreciation for the kindness, support, and messages of sympathy concerning the loss of our beloved wife and daughter, Karen.

To all those who joined in the celebration of her life, we thank you. We especially want to thank Sandy Baker for the poignant and informative eulogy, The Reverend Bret Moser for leading the service and for his comfort and prayers, pianist Randy Pearson and soloist Bethany Moser for providing the special music, and all who shared either thoughts or memories about Karen, including The Rainbow girls - both past and present - and the Waitsburg High School Class of 1980.

The heartfelt outpouring of community support from our friends, Karen’s friends and our extended family was truly a testament to her kind and giving nature.

We sincerely thank you all for your cards, flowers, generous contributions to the Karen Mohney memorial scholarship fund and to the charities of your choice made in her name. Also the tremendous amount of food, planning, and effort given for the reception following the service would have made her proud.

Most importantly, we thank everyone who remembered Karen in kindness and in prayer!

Our hearts are broken. We are not sure what we’re going to do without her. We are thankful for the time we were able to spend with her. Karen Will always be our hero, our inspiration. Thank you to all who helped us honor her memory.

Kelly Mohney, Meredith Huwe and family,

Waitsburg
