DAYTON - Each holiday season the residents and business owners of Dayton provide local families in need with gifts for Christmas. The Wishing Tree, set up right around Thanksgiving time, is decorated with ornaments indicating the age, gender, and any particular needs or wishes of local children. This year's Wishing Tree will be located at Dingle's of Dayton on Main Street. Those who want to donate gifts can stop by during Christmas Kickoff, happening this weekend in downtown Dayton, to take an ornament and sponsor a local child this holiday.
