Monday's lightning strikes set off several fires in the area. Roseann Groom captured this photo on Monday afternoon while parked on McGee Road looking at Turner Road just before it drops toward Marengo. Waitsburg and Columbia County crews were kept busy, but the fires were quickly contained.
