Prescott Presents “Fizz, Boom, Read!” Summer Reading Program

PRESCOTT - The Walla Walla County Rural Library District (WWCRLD) will be presenting its first ever district-wide Summer Reading Program this year. Three core performers - Jeff Evans' Science Magic, Pacific Science Center and Reptile Man -- will perform at each branch. Branch managers have also worked cooperatively for the first time, with each manager preparing kits for one weekly activity, and sharing them with the other branches. In addition, the Prescott branch has added some unique events such as an acupuncture presentation, movies and a Zombie Carnival.

This year's theme is "Fizz, Boom, Read!" and will allow readers of all ages to explore science with experiments, Grossology fun, Pacific Science Center programs and more. The program, which will run from June 18 - July 30, is open to babies through those entering 12th grade and will include programs, prizes, story hours and more. Families are invited to the kick-off event - Science Magic with Jeff Evans - on Wednesday, June 18 at 1 p.m. at the Prescott Community Library (103 S. "D" Street). All programs are free of charge and everyone is welcome.
