Fresh produce and per­ishable products for all fami­lies in need of assistance. A 3 lb. beef roast is included thanks to the Beef Counts Program. No appointment or documentation is neces­sary. Provide a note for those who you are picking up food for that cannot be present themselves. Bring a box for your food.

First Thursdays Con­cert

St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 323 Catherine Street in Walla Walla

12:15 p.m. to 12:50 p.m.

Featured will be Ethan Maier, pianist, and Josh Melander, violinist, from Whitman College. They will be playing a mixture of jazz, classical and original compositions. The concert is free but donations are gladly accepted and will be given to Blue Mountain Heart to Heart, the charity of the per­formers' choice. Community Council Informal Gathering

Residents from the re­gion are invited to attend an informal gathering explain­ing how citizens are using its study-action process to tackle regional concerns and to invite local residents to participate in the pro­cess. Refreshments will be served.

Friends of the Library Book Sale

All proceeds go to the Friends of the Library. The friends use the funds to sup­port the library through the purchase of books, maga­zine subscriptions, comput­ers, furniture, etc. They also support youth and summer reading programs. For more info. Call 382-4131.

Dayton's annual Young Life dessert banquet and fundraiser will take place at the Running T Ranch and is an opportunity to learn about Young Life and how it en­hances the spiritual growth of our high school students. Dayton High School stu­dents and graduates will be speaking about their experi­ences in Young Life and be­yond. Everyone is welcome. Esterlyn Concert

Harvest Christian Center and the Touchet Valley Min­isterial Association invite the community to a free concert with the band Esterlyn. A love offering will be taken.

Poetry Reading

Dayton Memorial Li­brary

6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Poet Laureate Kathleen Flenniken will do a poetry reading at the library with guest Christopher Howell. Kathleen is the 2012-2014 Washington State Poet Lau­reate and Christopher has published ten collections of poems.

Commercial Building Tour

Waitsburg, WA

4 p.m.

This is a self-guided tour with realtors and/or owner representatives at each build­ing. The tour will begin at the White Stallion Restaurant building and conclude with a wine and cheese reception at the Plaza Theater. Ad­ditional buildings featured include Delta Connection, Nothing New Lodging, two Lybecker buildings and the Gregutt building on Main Street. Maps and building information will be available at the start of the tour.

Prescott Lion's Club All-You-Can-Eat Break­fast

Fundraising breakfast serving pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, hashbrowns and juice and coffee. The Lions Com­munity Building is located on the corner of Highway 124 and D Street.

Mass Band Concert

Waitsburg High School

6:30 p.m.

Approximately a dozen small schools from Touchet to Asotin to Oaksdale will join bands and choruses and practice together for one day before performing a free concert in the evening. The Mass band and choir are quite impressive and the community is encouraged to support them with their attendance.

Prescription Drug Take Back

Waitsburg Fire Station, Main Street

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This is an opportunity for citizens to bring in old and unwanted prescription medi­cations for free disposal.

Tour of Haunted Homes

Waitsburg, WA

This historical tour of "haunted homes" in the area is sponsored by the Waits­burg Commercial Club and Coppei Coffee. Watch The Times for more information.

Free movie and popcorn at Prescott's Lions' Hall on the last Monday of each month.
