Candi Marie ( Petree) Allen, aged 42, formerly of Dayton, Starbuck, and Waitsburg Washington, died unexpectedly at her home in Cheney, Washington, on April 9, 2012. Born on April 28, 1969 in Arlington, Washington, she graduated from Dayton High School in the class of 1987.

She married Tommy Allen on July 30, 1988. Candi enjoyed life with her husband Tom, Nascar, gardening, canning, playing piano and helping others. She attended college in Cheney for accounting. She worked as a waitress and worked in law enforcement. Most recently she was employed as a health technician at Eastern State Hospital in Medical Lake. She is survived by her husband Tommy of Cheney, Washington, stepson Brandon Allen, her mother Kathy and stepfather Steve Jacobson of Dayton, her brother Matt Petree and his son Patrick, of Port Angeles, Washington, her grandmother Lucille Petree of Ranier, Oregon, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Jack Petree and step-son Geoffrey Allen. A memorial service is planned for Candi at her home church, Redeemer Lutheran Church, 601 S. Third St. in Dayton, Washington for Saturday, April 28, at 10 a.m. Pastor Gregory Bye will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Touchet Valley Pastors Association in care of Redeemer Church.
