Luanna Louise Kalahele, 58, a resident of Nehalem, OR died Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland. A celebration of life will be held on March 24, 2012. Please contact 503-357-8749 for more information. Luanna was born on March 14, 1953 in Oakland, CA She was one of five children born to Herman and Rosemarie (Hastings) Kalahele. She was raised and received her education in Portland. Luanna had most recently worked at the Nehalem Care Center in Nehalem, OR. Among her interest she enjoyed gardening, music, cooking and crafts. She is preceded in death by her father, Herman and brother, Greg. Survivors include her daughter Malia Kalahele of St Louis, Missouri, a son Greg Stearns of Waitsburg, WA, her mother; Rosemarie Hastings of Eugene, OR, three siblings; Karen Wilson, Donald McMillin and Jeff McMillin and a granddaughter; Brailyn Stearns.
