To the Editor:

This letter will serve as a strong endorsement of Mr. Jack Otterson and Mr. Blaine Bickelhaupt for election to the Columbia County Hospital District board. Both of these people are life-long members of the Dayton and Waitsburg communities, so you know them well as your neighbors and friends. Both have completed successfully, long-standing service commitments to their respective communities in various capacities and both have earned the respect of their two communities for their honesty and integrity. I have known Jack Otterson for more than 55 years and in that time I have always found him a person to get the job done in a very effective manner. Blaine Bickelhaupt I have known for about 6 years, but in those six years have found that he also always delivered on what he promised and that he, like Jack, was a builder and not a destroyer. I recommend these two people to you without hesitation, knowing full well that what the hospital district needs is experience, honesty, integrity and a willingness to work together to solve problems. Both Jack and Blaine possess these characteristics in abundance and moreover, they have the experience of living in our respective communities for all their lives and thus possess community memory.
