Jesse Donald Nettles

Long-time area resident Jesse Donald Nettles, 75, of 733 S. 3rd St. Dayton, Wash., died August 12, 2010, at the Dayton General Hospital. There are no public services. Don was born February 11, 1935, in Arlberg, Ar­kansas to Jesse and Gladys Dobbs Nettles. He came to Waitsburg with his family in 1947 where he attended school. He joined the Air Force and specialized in Radar operations and also attended Indiana State Col­lege. Upon discharge from the service he worked as an electrician for Northwest Mobile Homes in Spokane. He married Betty Blevins on December 27, 1960, in a ceremony held in Waitsburg. They made their home in Dayton where he worked for Bales Electric. In 1965 he started Nettles Electric, retir­ing in 2002. He coached Little League for 17 years and men's soft­ball for several years. He is survived by his wife, Betty at the home. 3 sons; Jess Nettles of Spokane, Jef­frey


Nettles of Seattle, and Jerry Nettles of Walla Walla.. 1 daughter, Kari Nettles of New Canaan, Conn. 9 Grandchildren and 1 great grandson. 3 sisters; Delo­res Nettles, Wanda Gales, and Margaret Picton all of Waitsburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers Wayne, James and Charles Nettles. 1 sister, Lo­retta Nettles.
