Tree roots have caused extensive sidewalk heaving in the 200 block of W. 6th St. The trees were slated for removal in advance of replacing the sidewalk through the city's replacement program which splits costs with homeowners. The city was to foot the bill for the tree removal which has been temporarily placed on hold due to public protest.
