Emily Adams is greeted by former Richland coach Max Jensen. Jensen initiated the Richland Invite in 1969. This year Richland dedicated the meet to him and in the future it will be called the Max Jensen Memorial invite. Before moving to Richland, Coach Jensen competed in track and XC at WSU. He started the Richland XC team in 1963 and led them to multiple state championships. He was inducted into the Washington State XC coaches hall of fame in 1994. He awarded medals to the top three finishers on Saturday.
