Wolfpack Boys Win One, Drop Two Basketball Games

DW COMBINE-DW's 37-25 lead at halftime withstood a Warden comeback in the second half for a 58-53 win in basketball action on Tuesday, January 10, in Dayton. Spencer Hansen led his team with 26 points, three assists, ten rebounds, and two steals. Gage Holm scored ten points, Ryland Kilts eight points, Benny Bryan seven points, and Monte Pettichord scored three points, made three assists, and contributed with five rebounds. Reuben Yutzy scored three points, and Wyaiit Booth scored one. 

In EWAC games on Friday and Saturday in Dayton, the Wolfpack dropped both games; 72-58 against Columbia-Burbank and 58-50 against Tri-City Prep.

Forty-three fouls were called in the DW vs. CB game, which saw DW score 20 points and CB score 17 from the free throw line. Hansen again led in scoring with 23 points, and Kilts scored 16. Holm scored 11 points and rebounded five, Pettichord scored four points, and Blake French and Bryan scored two points each.

DW led by one point at halftime against TCP, and the two teams tied at 38 by the third quarter. TCP outscored DW in the fourth quarter 20-12 to take the win.  Hansen scored 21 points, and four steals, and Kilts scored 11, Pettichord scored seven, rebounded seven, and had three steals. Bryan scored five, and French scored four points in the hard-fought loss.
