At the Liberty: Nightmare Alley

DAYTON—In Nightmare Alley, an ambitious young carny (Bradley Cooper) with a talent for manipulating people with a few well-chosen words hooks up with a female psychiatrist (Cate Blanchett) who is even more dangerous than he is. The cast also includes Toni Collette, Willem Dafoe, Rooney Mara, Richard Jenkins, Ron Pearlman and it is directed by Guillermo del Toro.

Rotten Tomatoes gives this an 80% favorable from the critics and 68% from audiences. Audience reviewers note that the movie is slow, but that it has a powerful ending. It is rated R for strong/bloody violence, some sexual content, nudity and language, and it has a runtime of 140 minutes. This movie will show at the Liberty Theater on February 11-13, and 15 with show times of 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 3 pm on Sunday, and 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Use of masks is required of guests, and seating is distanced between groups.
