You are hereby summoned to appear within sixty days after the date of the first publication of this summons, to wit, within sixty days after the 30th day of January, 2020, and defend the above entitled action in the above entitled court, and answer the complaint of the plaintiff David V. Baker and serve a copy of your answer upon the undersigned plaintiff’s counsel Michael E. de Grasse at his office below stated; and in case of your failure so to do, judgment will be rendered against you according to the demand of the complaint, which has been filed with the clerk of said court.


The above entitled action is to quiet title to certain real property situate in the City and County of Walla Walla, State of Washington, commonly known as 547 Washington Street, Walla Walla, Washington 99362, and more particularly described in the complaint.

If the defendant Delight Dee Lacey is served personally with a summons that requires a 20-day response, that summons supersedes the instant summons.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing at 10:30 AM on Monday, March 2, 2020, in Commissioners’ Chambers, Walla Walla County Public Health and Legislative Building, 314 West Main, Walla Walla, Washington to receive public testimony and consider, pursuant to Walla Walla County Code Chapter 14.15, action or decision on the following proposal which is on the 2018 Final Docket of Comprehensive Plan and Development Regulations Amendments.

ZCA19-002 – The McGregor Company

Application by The McGregor Company to amend Walla Walla County Code (WWCC) Section 17.16.014, Permitted Uses Table, and WWCC Chapter 17.08, Definitions. The amendment would allow Irrigation Systems & Equipment Sales, Services & Storage facilities in the Primary Agriculture (PA-40) zoning district; and establish a definition for this use. Development conditions/regulations will also be considered.

On December 4, 2019 the Planning Commission voted to recommend that the Board of County Commissioners approve the amendments with modifications.

Written comments regarding these amendments may be submitted prior to and at the hearing on March 2. This is the final opportunity to comment on this application; written comments will not be accepted after the public hearing is closed on March 2. NOTICE OF ANNUAL ELECTION

OF THE CITY OF WAITSBURG, WASHINGTON

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE 2020 ELECTION OF THE CITY OF WAITSBURG, WASHINGTON, will be held on Monday, April 6, 2020, for the election of Mayor and five (5) Council Members, all for a term of one and half years as provided by the Territorial Charter of the City of Waitsburg and amended by the City Council through Resolution 2020-698. This year will be the last year the election will be administered by the City of Waitsburg. All future elections will be done in accordance with state laws governing elections and will be administered by the Election Department of Walla Walla County for the 2021 Election.

Anyone who desires to run for City Council in 2020 will need to fill out the Declaration of Candidacy form available on the City’s website http://www.cityofwaitsburg.com on March 1st. Candidacy forms are due no later than March 10th. Those wanting to hold a caucus can do so no earlier than 35 days prior to the annual election and no later than 25 days prior to the annual election. For 2020, these dates are Monday, March 2nd and Thursday March 12th.

This election will be done by Mail in Balloting and all Ballots must be received by Waitsburg City Hall no later than 8pm on April 6, 2020 to be considered for this year’s election. The City will also count post marked (April 6, 2020 or prior) ballots after the Election as they come in to City Hall until 4pm on April 10, 2020 with Certification of the Election to occur no later than April 15, 2020.

WAITSBURG SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 401-100 WALLA WALLA AND COLUMBIA COUNTIES, WASHINGTON

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Resolution No. 022020A, that the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Waitsburg School District No. 401-100, Walla Walla and Columbia Counties, Washington (the “District”) will hold a public hearing during the regular Board meeting on March 19, 2020, starting at 6:00 P.M., or as soon thereafter as possible, in the Science Room at Preston Hall Middle School, located at 605 Main Street, Waitsburg, Washington 99361. The purpose of the public hearing is to: (a) consider whether certain state and local circumstances should cause alterations to the specific expenditures from the District’s general obligation bond proceeds originally authorized in Resolution No. 072716B to permit the District to pay costs of re-roofing Waitsburg High School buildings (the “Alterations”); and (b) receive public testimony. If the Board determines that the Alterations are in the best interests of the District, the Board may, at a future public meeting, adopt a new resolution or amend Resolution No. 072716B approving the Alterations.

All residents of the District wishing to be heard should appear at the public hearing and present their views.
