August 15, 2019

DAYTON-The Dayton Chamber of Commerce announced the resignation of Executive Director Melissa Bryan in an Aug. 12 in a Chamber press release. Bryan, who served as assistant director prior to stepping into the role of executive director in March of 2018, will leave her position effective Aug. 31.

"Melissa has worked hard to keep the Chamber office looking professional and welcoming. Many improvements have taken place under her direction," said Chamber President Brian St. Clare.

Assistant Director Caitlyn Robins has also given notice and will join the staff of the Dayton Memorial Library in September.

"We wish them both the best and thank them for their efforts," St. Clare said.

When asked about plans for operating the Chamber until a new director is hired, Chamber Board Member Ginny Butler said the board had just received notice of the resignation on the afternoon of Aug. 12.

"We are working on a plan as fast as we can," Butler said.
