WALLA WALLA & COLUMBIA Counties —Filing week for local and state elections closed Fri., May 17. While many are positions were open, only a few resulted in competition.

In Columbia County, Michael Paris, Delphine Bailey and Zack Weatherford have filed to run for Dayton Mayor. There are two candidates for each of the three open city council positions including Christine Broughton and Misty Yost for Position 1, Cara James and Dain Nysoe for Position 4 and Byron Kaczmarski and Seth Bryan for position 6.
