Jerry Edwin Kenoyer, 76, passed away January 27, 2019 in Ritzville, WA. A Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 12:00pm at Faith Chapel, 653 Wagon Road, Dayton, WA 99328. A Graveside service will follow at the Dayton Cemetery. All are welcome to a potluck luncheon after the graveside back at the church.

Jerry was born to Virgil Kenoyer and Laura Belle (Greatorex) Kenoyer in Bellingham, WA on September 25, 1942. Jerry grew up in Dayton and attended Dayton public schools. He served 3 years of service in the Army from December 11, 1959 to November 1962 in Straubing, Germany. After his return, Jerry married Jeannie LaVonne Yates on December 15, 1963 in Dayton, WA. Jerry had a career as a facilities engineer for Green Giant, Pillsbury, and Seneca until his retirement in 2005 after 40 years of service.

Jerry was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting, and chopping wood. He enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and following their sporting activities. He also enjoyed being with Terrie sharing stories and memories. He was always there to take in her activities teaching music and her concerts in Ritzville, where he also got to see Ashleigh and Kelianne perform. Everyone knew Jerry loved the Lord as he shared his love with anybody and everybody. He wanted all to know his wisdom. He has left behind several books and his thoughts of God's word. Jerry was very passionate about teaching and sharing with our youth. He had the pleasure of sharing in his first great-grandchild's birth, Hudson. One of the highlights of Jerry's life was wearing a tux for the very first time at Terrie and Kevin's wedding; he wore it until it was time to take it back. He enjoyed spending time with his lifelong friend's Gerald Pulliam, Gary Lowe, the Grooms, and the cannery guys.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Terrie LaVonne (Kevin) Kenoyer Swartz, a brother, James Richard Pruitt, five grandchildren; Michael, Layne, Karl Hawks, Ashleigh and Kelianne Swartz, three great-grandchildren; Hudson Hawks, and Hailynn and Autumn. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his infant son Bradley Kenoyer.
