WALLA WALLA – The Third Annual Women’s March on Walla Walla will held on Sat., Jan. 19 at 10 a.m. The march will begin and end at Crawford Park, located at 4th and Main in Walla Walla.

This year’s event will be a celebration of the Year of the Woman and will emphasize involvement in and service to the community. Spanish interpretation will be available. Local nonprofit groups will have tables with information about their work.

The supported charity for this year’s march is the Children’s Home Society of Washington benefiting the Valle Lindo program. Participants are encouraged to bring donations of applesauce, low sugar granola bars, hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes and tissues to the march.

All community members are welcome to join in celebrating the achievements and supporting the rights of all women, regardless of race, creed, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, economic status, disability or situation of birth.
