During the winter sports season, the Waitsburg-Prescott Athletic Combine may be referred to as Waitsburg-Prescott, W-P or the W-P Cardinals, according to superintendents Carol Clarke of Waitsburg and Carolyn Marsh of Prescott. While the W-P Combine will continue to keep community tradition and history alive through dual mascots, it has been determined that media reporting would be easier if the teams could identify a single mascot, the superintendents announced.
