Dear Editor,

I am writing to urge you to support Cathy Loftus Shochet for Columbia County Treasurer.

Cathy has all the necessary experience to be the next Treasurer. She has been the Chief Deputy Treasurer for 3 years which makes her extremely well qualified to move up to the Treasurer position. She already knows all the routines and computer systems that are used in the Treasurers’ office so there would a seamless transition to Treasurer. Cathy recently received training in the new systems that will be implemented at the office.

She has extensive experience in the business world and working with large budgets. Working in the aerospace industry, she acquired the ability to use complex software systems and work within a large organization. Management skills were necessary at her position in the staffing industry. She utilized these skills as the Port of Columbia Auditor.

When you go into the Treasurer’s office, you find that Cathy is pleasant and helpful.  

Cathy already has the skills and experience to be the Columbia County Treasurer. I urge you to support her for Columbia County Treasurer.
