In the present political climate, it is easy to become partisan and blindly vote for our chosen party. However, the work of a county commissioner is not driven by partisan ideology. Instead, professional experience, expertise, and the proven ability to listen and communicate are what create a strong commissioner. Dain Nysoe is the strongest candidate for Columbia County Commissioner. He has an educational background in economics and public administration, and he has taught business administration at the college level. He has worked on the Main Streets of small towns, and this professional background provides the experience necessary to guide our county to a sustainable economic future. Dain has successfully managed his family farm, so he understands the needs of our agricultural community. Dain has already served our community as a member of Dayton’s City Council. With this experience, he is acquainted with the issues our county faces, and he knows the people he will serve as county commissioner.
