Notice of Public Hearing

A Public Hearing will be held at 7:00 pm on April 16, 2018 for the Board of Columbia County Commissioners to consider making the following changes to speed limits on county roads:

Set speed limit on all primitive roads at 35 MPH

Set speed limit on steep grades at 35 MPH

Reduce speed limit on North Touchet Road from Dayton city limits to the South Touchet Road from 40 MPH down to 35 MPH

Authorize temporary speed limit reductions for county road maintenance and construction projects

For a detailed list of affected roads, please go to http://www.columbiaco.com/publicworks This meeting will be held on the 3rd Floor of the Columbia County Courthouse, 341 East Main, Dayton, WA to hear public comment on the proposed action. Resignation Leaves Vacancy on Prescott Council

PRESCOTT—4 yr.-term City council member Chuck Kimsey, has resigned from his City Council position effective April 30, 2018. The Prescott council expresses its appreciation for Kimsey’s many years of service to the community.

Council intends to appoint a new member to Kimsey’s Position #4 vacancy at the City Council Meeting on May 14, 2018. Interested persons are asked to submit a letter of interest by Monday, April 30, 2018. Letters may be mailed to PO Box 27, Prescott, or submitted in person during regular City Hall office hours. Applicants must be a registered voter of the City and must have been a resident of the City for a period of at least one year in order to be eligible to serve as a council member.
