Waitsburg High School classes pitted against one another to see who could bring in the most food to the Waitsburg Resource Center on Wednesday night. LEOs club advisor Gabe Kiefel spearheaded the drive and was assisted by members of the Waitsburg Lions Club who hauled food and fed the kids hamburgers following the drive. Juniors and seniors tied for first place with a total of 336 pounds each. The freshmen brought in 137 pounds and the sophomores collected 107 pounds for a total of 829 pounds of food according to WRC volunteer Pam Conover who said the community donated "an amazing assortment of foods."
