Former Waitsburg mayor Tom Baker was honored with the 2007 Walla Walla Chamber of Commerce Award of Merit in a ceremony last week.

Five Waitsburg-Prescott Cardinals – three on defense and two on offense – were named to the District 9 All League Team for the Southeast 2B Football League, announced Coach Jeff Bartlow recently. Three senior players and two junior players from the combined team were honored.
