WAITSBURG – The Waitsburg 4-H Corral Wranglers and the 4-H Penpals recently held a friendly but competitive food drive last week, bringing in a total of 815 pounds of non-perishables to the Waitsburg Resource Center.

"I took the scale to the Lion's Building to weigh the food, expecting about 80 pounds, and was overwhelmed to see what they had collected," said WRC board chair Pam Conover.

In addition to poundage, the teams received extra points for frequently needed items such as dish soap and toothpaste.
