Waitsburg

Dec. 4

Window of business shot with B.B. gun on 100 block of Main Street.

Dec. 5

Driver cited for driving while suspended in the third degree, during a traffic stop on Taggart/Maple.

Dec. 7

Two-vehicle collision on Main and W. 4th St. Driver of vehicle causing collision was issued an infraction for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Prescott

Dec. 7

Generator, air compressor, toolbox, and tools taken from shed on 100 block of N. “E” St.

Dayton

Nov. 28

Vet needed for injured dog on 300 block of E. Main.

Nov. 29

Hatch open on car with no one around on 200 block of E. Main, made contact with owner. Joel Ballard, 23, Dayton, booked into Columbia County jail on charges of assault in the third degree, domestic violence. Children playing with cell phone, repeatedly calling 911; contact made with parents. Found a set of keys on US-12 MP377.


Nov. 30

Report of individual possibly receiving Social Security fraudulently; under investigation. Two storage units on US-12 MP 363 broken into; under investigation. Report of juvenile female runaway who later returned home on her own.

Dec. 1

Cow in roadway on Tucannon Rd, MP 10; unable to locate owner. Craigslist fraud. “Buyer” sent check in excess of price and told seller just to cash it and send him the balance; under investigation. Robert Kay, 28, Idaho, cited for theft in the 3rd degree for stealing property of the Dayton Depot. Two vehicles contacted for negligent driving on US-12, MP 364.


Dec. 2

Report of a vehicle spinning “brodies” in the street. Cited for negligent driving in the 2nd degree. Report of a dog bit on 700 block of E. Patit. Juvenile bitten on the head. Report forwarded to animal control officer.

Dec. 3

Report of loud argument at Country Village, determined to be misunderstanding. Steven Noble, 29, Dayton was booked into Columbia County Jail on a warrant and then bailed out.

Dec. 4

Fifteen to 20 vehicles, scattered throughout town, were prowled overnight. In some cases multiple cars were hit in one location. Items taken included: change, Ipod, chargers, DVD player, RADAR detector, GPS, head phones, knives, spotting scope, gym bag, flashlights, gloves and hats, prescription medications. All vehicles were unlocked.

Dec. 5

Possible drug activity involving juveniles reported on 600 block of S. 3rd. Unable to locate. Report of a suspicious vehicle repeatedly driving by a residence in Starbuck. Contact was made with vehicle owners who were looking for lost dogs. Citation for driving while suspended in the 3rd degree on SR-261, MP 6.
