Local Vintage Quilts Wanted for Depot Display

November 26, 2014

DAYTON - The Dayton Depot is looking for quilts to exhibit beginning in January as part two of "Our Old Quilts." Part one, which displayed vintage quilts from the Depot and the Boldman House collections, took place from January to September.

In part two, Depot supporters hope to show local quilts, 50 years old or older, that currently reside in the homes of Dayton residents. The quilt makers can be local or from out of town. Quilts will be on loan to the Depot and returned after the show ends in September 2015.

Any history or information on the techniques used in the making of the quilts would be helpful and add an interesting dimension to the exhibit. For more information, contact the Exhibit Chair Cathy Lee-Haight at 509- 382-3069 or clhaight@hotmail.com or the Depot Manager Tamara Fritze at 509-382-2026 or info@daytonhistoricdepot.org.
