Columbia Co. Transportation to Hold Public Meeting

February 15, 2018

DAYTON – Columbia County Public Transportation will hold a public meeting on Feb. 23 to invite input from area residents regarding transportation needs. The meeting will be held at the Delany Room at the Dayton Memorial Library, from 4 – 6 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to help set funding priorities and select alternatives to improve specialized transportation services in our region.

According to CCPT manager Dwight Robanske, attendees will hear a brief presentation from the Palouse Regional Transportation Planning Organization regarding their transportation planning process for the coming year. They will then be asked to provide feedback in a short survey about local transportation needs.

According to a press release issued by CCPT, “The focus of the feedback surveys and this meeting is to…help set funding priorities for 2018-2022 transit improvements. The plan will also assist in selecting alternatives to improve specialized transportation services in the region, particularly for senior adults, people with disabilities, and individuals with low incomes.”
