Members of the WHS National Honor Society and ASB officers served punch and cookies, after gifting school board members with chocolates during last week’s board meeting, in honor of School Board Appreciation Month. This year marked Randy Pearson’s 20th year on the board. District Superintendent Jon Mishra presented board members with medallions that read “Thank you. You’ve made a difference” and thanked them for their “inspirational leadership” before reading Governor Jay Inslee’s School Board Recognition Proclamation.
Kindergarten students from Mrs. Beasley’s class gave board members a picture and thank you note.
Current board members are: Chairman Ross Hamann (14 years), Vice Chairman Marilyn Johnson (8 years), Randy Pearson (20 years), Christy House (6 years), and Russ Knopp (2 years).
