WALLA WALLA - The public is invited to celebrate the completion of the Blue Mountain Region Trails Plan at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 22 at the Walla Walla County Fairgrounds Community Building. The celebration will begin with a brief presentation of the plan’s findings and recommendations.

The plan is the result of a year-long initiative between Blue Mountain region cities, counties, health departments, ports, and state and federal resource agencies, to develop a non-motorized trails and transportation plan.

The goal is to enhance community connections, create better networks within built-up areas and develop routes to the region’s natural treasures.
