SHORT LINE Rail GRAND RE-OPENING

October 12, 2017

An eager crowd awaited the arrival of the CWW train as it pulled into the Dayton Historic Depot right on time last Saturday.

Frontier Rail, LLC Commercial Director Paul Didelius said his customer base includes shippers in stone, and seed who will use the rail service from the Dayton area , to connections in Walla Walla, the balance of 2017, and beyond. He said a local grain cooperative may ship from Waitsburg in 2018, and has already shipped some carloads from the Prescott elevator in 2017. Didelius will be glad to talk to anyone who wants "100s of tons of something" shipped, he told the crowd. Depending on actual demand, the CWW plans up to a daily train from Dayton to Walla Walla and back, he said.
