Former Prescott Superintendent Passes Away

CLE ELUM, Wash. – Former Prescott school district superintendents, Lloyd Olson, passed away on Sept. 24 at his home in Cle Elum, at age 84, of natural causes.

Olson was credited with having a positive impact on the Chumicum School District where he was superintendent from 1976 to 1988, and oversaw the building of the town’s new high school in 1979. Prior to taking his position in Chumacum, Olson was district superintendent in Prescott from 1970 to 1976.

Four of Olson’s seven children went on to become educators.
