The Times - Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley

DIXIE – Area fire districts will host a FireWise Workshop in Dixie on July 13 from 7-8:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the building next to the WWCFD8 fire station, located at 10145 E. Hwy. 12.

Hosts will provide an update on the 2017 fire season, information about creating defensible space, fire response, and potential mitigation project opportunities. Other agencies may be present, including: WA Dept. of Natural Resources, US Forest Service, Oregon Dept. of Forestry.
