Adams Wins Four Events at Regionals

Waitsburg track team sends several athletes on to state meet in Cheney this weekend

SPOKANE VALLEY – Waitsburg senior Emily Adams won all four of her events at the regional track and field championships here last weekend and moves on to the State 1B tournament in Cheney beginning Friday.

Adams out-paced the competition in the 800 meters, with a time of 2:25.97; the 1600 meters, with a personal best time of 5:24.12; the 3200 meters, at 11:55.45; and the triple jump with a leap of 33-03.00.

Landon Callas topped the 300 hurdles with a time of 40.27, and will also be going to state in the 110-meter hurdles and the 100-meter dash, after placing second in each event. Callas p...
